After realizing my hopes of obtaining full time employment as a Ghostbuster were unlikely – I turned towards my backup: storytelling.
I got my first video camera in the 3rd grade and haven’t stopped since. Starting with making short movies with my neighbors to creating a public access TV show in middle school - a passion was honed. In high school I founded Third Floor Productions and built a client list that spanned agencies, companies and TV networks. In 2008, I saw Third Floor through an acquisition by Story House Media Group to expand resources and to create web content for television properties. Through Third Floor I have written, produced, and directed content for clients such as National Geographic Channel, Food Network, Discovery Communications, and Travel Channel.
From 2013 - 2015, I served as an associate creative director for Centerline Digital, where I lead creative teams consisting of writers, designers, animators, developers, and editors for various marketing projects and campaigns for IBM, GE, and Citrix. In 2016 I obtained my Master’s in Technology and Communication through the UNC-Chapel Hill Hussman School of Journalism and Media.
Starting in 2016 I worked as a branded content producer and editor for the Holderness Family. Working alongside Penn and Kim Holderness I created branded content for a variety of brands including Chase, Netflix, DreamWorks, Target, and Samsung.
In 2020, I began working full-time as a Digital Content Producer with University Communications at UNC-Chapel Hill. I work to tell stories about the people, campus and community that makeup the nation’s first public school. Starting in Fall 2022 I also have served as an Adjunct Professor at the UNC-Chapel Hill Hussman School of Journalism and Media, teaching courses on digital storytelling for undergrad classes. For fun, I like traveling and hiking with my wife, two sons and dachshund.
